Courier Operational Restrictions

Dear customer,

the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC, s. o.), which operates the railway, would like to inform you that from 1 February continuously until 21 February in the Mosty u Jablunkova – Čadca segment on line 320 Bohumín – Čadca, there will be a closure with halted operations.

For this reason, a special procedure has been adopted by ČD and Slovak carrier ZSSK for the shipment of InterKurýr consignments. The procedure concerns consignments directed to or from the Čadca station and to or from the Žilina station on connections Ex 140-149, 150-152, 230, 231 and R 440-443; all such consignments will be directed via Horní Lideč. Consignments to or from the Čadca station will always entail extraordinary transloading in Žilina. All consignments:

• to the Žilina station will be extraordinarily transloaded at a suitable ČD railway station and shipped onward only on connections Ex 121 or 127, 129, 221 and diverted onto connections R 441 and 443;
• from the Žilina station will be extraordinarily transloaded only on connections Ex 120 or 126, 128, 220 and diverted onto connection R 440 with transloading at the Hranice na Moravě station or at Olomouc hl.n., or will be unloaded at their destination station on the way, if applicable; from the station Hranice na Moravě or Olomouc hl.n., they will be transported to the destination station on the next suitable connection;
• to the Čadca station will be transported by a substitute transport means according to the procedure for sending consignments to the Žilina station (see the first bullet point); from the Žilina station, consignments will be shipped on substitute connection Ex 144;
• from the Čadca station will be transported to the Žilina station using connection Ex 145 or R 441 and will continue onward according to the procedure for sending consignments from the Žilina station.

Consignments coming from Slovak carrier ŽSR to Nový Jičín město, Frýdek-Místek or Ostrava on trains R 440 or R 442 will be shipped on a diverted connection before Horní Lideč to Olomouc hl.n., where they will be unloaded and shipped on to the destination station on the next suitable connection.

For these consignments, the delivery time will not be observed. In certain cases, the delivery time will be extended by as much as 24 hours.
