Discounted Travel on the Děčín – Bad Schandau Route

For passenger ticketing for direct passenger trains (DB category RB or RE) on the Děčín – Bad Schandau route in 2nd carriage class, the special MPS Bad Schandau tariff applies. Travel documents are issued at the ticket counter or by the conductor on the train. Children under 15 years of age pay 50 % of the price of the regular or customer MPS fare; a ticket for a dog costs 50 % of the price of the regular MPS fare. It is possible to issue one-way or return tickets (in the direction from the Czech Republic as well as in the direction from Germany). For tickets from an unattended station issued on the train, a handling surcharge is imposed. If a passenger boards the train in Germany without a travel document, he or she will pay a handling surcharge (CZK 40) in addition to the fare. Bicycles are ticketed per the TR 10 Tariff. These tickets cannot be returned or exchanged.

For a journey aboard a ČD train in 2nd class to Bad Schandau and return, you can use discounted MPS tickets. You can purchase tickets at any ticket counter or from the conductor on a ČD train (when boarding at a station where tickets are not sold). Both one-way and return tickets are available.

If you purchase the ticket for the return journey from Bad Schandau back to the Czech Republic in advance in the Czech Republic, you will again pay the discounted MPS Bad Schandau fare. When purchasing tickets in Germany, the terms and conditions of German rail carrier Deutsche Bahn (DB) apply.

The prices of international tickets are firmly set in EUR and converted into Czech crowns according to the valid Uniform Railway Exchange rate.
