Wien Spezial – weekly ticket

Can I purchase a return Wien Spezial ticket for the Vranovice – Wien route?
No. Even though Vranovice lies on the Brno hl.n. – Wien Südbahnhof line, Wien Spezial tickets can only be issued to Vienna from Brno hl.n. or Břeclav. We can recommend the similar EURegio Austria offer, for which it is possible to purchase a ticket from Vranovice. However, EURegio Austria tickets are valid only on ČD local (Os), limited-stop (Sp) and fast (R) trains, and cannot be purchased in combination with a Vienna municipal mass transport ticket.
What is the difference between a Wien Spezial ticket and a EURegio Austria ticket? They seem similar to me.
Wien Spezial tickets, in contrast to EURegio Austria tickets, can be used on all trains. Wien Spezial tickets can also be purchased with expanded validity to include municipal mass transport in Vienna. It can only be purchased from Brno or Břeclav to Hohenau or Vienna, however, and is sold only at ČD international ticket counters.
