Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and a cultural and financial centre. The city-centre dates from the “golden” 17th century and abounds in museums, of which the most famous is probably the Van Gogh Museum. Amsterdam has always been a cosmopolitan, multicultural and tolerant city. Its atmosphere is significantly shaped by a network of canals in which over 2000 boats and houseboats are anchored. You can rent a Canal Bike paddleboat or use a Canal Bus, which has regular stops.
