Tickets for ČD Nostalgic Trains
Aboard ČD’s historic trains, marked in the timetable with the symbol of a steam locomotive, a global price applies. Alternately, an annual network ticket valid for ČD trains can be used with a required supplementary fee.
- The basic global price, for individual historic train journeys and valid wither for the entire journey or for specified segments, is announced by the director of the Division of Products and Trade at ČD’s General Directorate or the director of the organising ČD Regional Centre for Passenger Transport on the website www.cd.cz or station notice boards.
- A 50% discount off the basic global price for children under 15 years of age, students from 15 to 26 years of age and pensioners. Demonstrating eligibility: Children 10 to 15 years of age demonstrate their eligibility for a special fare with any (official) identification verified with a stamp or other specific markings from the issuer or issued in the form of a plastic card containing a photograph, name and date of birth, date of the child’s 15th birthday or child’s birth number. Eligibility for a student discount is demonstrated by a “student identification 15 – 26” valid for the historic train’s route. Pensioners demonstrate their eligibility for a discount with a discount card or In-karta card with the IN 25 1/2 or IN senior application; pensioners 70 years of age and older can demonstrate eligibility by merely presenting a civic identification card or passport.
- A 75% discount off the basic global price for ZTP / ZTP/P cardholders and students under 15. Demonstrating eligibility: Eligibility for a student discount is demonstrated by a “student identification -15” valid for the historic train’s route. ZTP and ZTP/P cardholders can establish their eligibility for a discount with a ZTP or ZTP/P identification card.
- A 100% discount off the basic global price is granted to passengers eligible for free transport under Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic Regulation No. 1/2011 in its full extent. A supplementary fee in the amount of 50% of the basic global price is required of every holder of a network ticket valid on ČD trains.
- Carriage fees for luggage and dogs are set in the amount of 25% of the basic global price.
The announced prices include VAT at the reduced rate.
