What is an In-karta Card?

In-karta card
An In-karta card is a plastic chip card the size of a regular payment card. It is intended mainly for regular ČD customers who, thanks to their In-karta cards, can travel by train for less. Certain discounts can be recorded on an In-karta card in the form of so-called applications. Thanks to these applications, passengers can purchase tickets with a corresponding discount.
For example, if you record the IN 25 application onto your In-karta card, you will be entitled to a 25% discount off the regular and return fare. You can take advantage of this discount every time you purchase a ticket at the station; when your ticket is inspected by the conductor you will be required to demonstrate that you are eligible for the discount by presenting your In-karta card. You can also record certain types of tickets onto your In-karta card such as commuter tickets or the IN 100 network ticket, which allows you to travel on all ČD trains free of charge (with the exception of required reservations on SC category trains).
With an In-karta card on which a valid IN 25, IN 50, IN 100, IN senior, IN junior or IN business application has been recorded, you can purchase discounted reservations for SC Pendolino trains.
Your In-karta card can also serve as a so-called electronic wallet, which you can charge up with money at the ticket office and then use it to purchase tickets at ticket vending machines or cashlessly at the ticket office. You will receive a discount for such purchases in the form of a bonus, which is credited back to your electronic wallet. At the ticket office, it is necessary to announce in advance that you intend to pay with your electronic wallet.
Your In-karta card will also allow you to purchase SporoTiket Česko tickets for inexpensive travel between selected cities in the Czech Republic. You can obtain such tickets through the ČD eShop, at ticket vending machines at stations, or directly at the ticket office (sales at the ticket office are always terminated one day prior to departure, however).
You can obtain an In-karta card either at the station ticket counter by filling in the necessary form (or you can bring it already filled in from home), or online through the ČD eShop.

Overview of In-karta card discounts
When purchasing an In-karta card, select the type of discount to be recorded onto your card and the duration of its validity – three months, one, two or three years, according to your needs.
IN 25
is intended for all passengers, including children, students and ZTP and ZTP/P cardholders, who take the train regularly to school or work. It is also worthwhile for frequent travel. With an In-karta IN 25, passengers receive a 25% discount on one-way, return and commuter tickets (in weekly, monthly and quarterly variants), and a discount on SporoTiket Česko and ČD Promo tickets, and discount on reservations for SC trains as well.
IN 50
is suitable mainly for regular trips by youth from 15 to 26 years of age and adults. We offer special price for pensioners. With an In-karta IN 50, passengers receive a 50% discount on one-way and return tickets, a 25% discount on commuter tickets, and a discount on SporoTiket Česko and ČD Promo tickets, and discount on reservations for SC trains as well.
IN 100
is intended for regular travel with a higher level of comfort. Without having to purchase additional travel documents, passengers are entitled to unlimited travel on ČD trains in 1st or 2nd class, a discount on reservations and tickets to destinations abroad (with the RailPlus discount), discount on reservations for SC trains, the option to transport one piece of oversized luggage free of charge, free travel on Airport Express connections, and free use of the ČD cableway at Ještěd.
IN business
is a variant of the IN 100 discount (without RailPlus) suitable for corporate clients. The card is issued to the company (not to an individual), is transferable and helps resolve issues surrounding business trips.
IN senior
is intended for passengers over 70 years of age. With the IN senior discount, passengers need not purchase any additional travel documents for travel on local (Os) and limited-stop (Sp) trains. For journeys on fast (R) trains and higher-category trains, passengers can take advantage of a 50% discount off the regular fare or the return fare, 25% discount off the commuter tickets and a discount on SporoTiket Česko and ČD Promo tickets, and discount on reservations for SC trains as well.

You can also use the ČD In-karta card as a ticket to cultural, sport and social events for which ticket sales are provided by Ticketstream. Register on www.ticketstream.cz, pay for the tickets and then just go to the event with your In-karta card.
