What are First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) tickets?

The offer is intended for inexpensive travel between 114 selected cities in the Czech Republic. Travel is possible only to or from a regional capital, or between regional capitals. The distance between these cities must be at least 50 km. The tickets are not tied to specific trains.

The number of tickets offered is limited. Tickets can be purchased at three price levels:

  • at Price Level I, tickets are cheapest and can be purchased in advance sales up to two months prior to departure, but no later than 7 days prior to departure
  • at Price Level II, tickets are more expensive and their sale commences after tickets at Price Level I have been sold out, but no later than 6 days prior to departure; sales are terminated 3 days prior to departure
  • at Price Level III, tickets are most expensive and their sale commences after tickets at Price Level II have been sold out, but no later than 2 days prior to departure; sales are terminated at 23:59 on the day of departure or when tickets are sold out

Discount with an In-karta card

Passengers with a customer application on a ČD In-karta card or other card, on a paper provisional In-karta card or on a temporary In-karta card can purchase tickets at Price Levels I, II and III for less than passengers without a card.

Other conditions and information

  • until 8 December 2012 the offer was named SporoTiket Česko ticket
  • passengers may purchase any number of tickets
  • tickets are sold only for 2nd class travel
  • Tickets are valid on ČD trains and on buses integrated into the ČD BUS system.
  • First Minute Czech tickets have the same term of validity as standard tickets – i.e. they are always valid until 24:00 (midnight) on the next day, and the journey must be commenced on the first day of the ticket’s term of validity.
  • For First Minute Czech tickets, it is possible to exercise your standard right under the transport contract (to return a ticket) as for regular tickets.
  • A First Minute Czech ticket purchased through the ČD eShop is non-transferable, and is tied to the name of a specific passenger. Thus, only the person whose name and identification card number are specified on a First Minute Czech ticket purchased through the ČD eShop can use it for travel. During a ticket inspection on the train, the passenger must present an identification card bearing the same name and number as those specified on the ticket. When purchasing multiple First Minute Czech tickets through the ČD eShop for multiple passengers travelling together, the tickets can be merged into a single document with specification of the name and identification card number of only one of the passengers. In such a case, the document can only be presented to the conductor for inspection on the train by the passenger whose name and identification card number are specified on the ticket.
  • First Minute Czech tickets purchased at a ticket counter or from a ticket vending machine are not tied to the passenger’s name.
  • You will print out a First Minute Czech ticket purchased through the ČD eShop on your own printer, or you can display it during a ticket inspection on a portable electronic device – e.g. on the screen of your laptop. You can also retrieve a ticket purchased online at a ČD ticket counter for a fee of CZK 50 or from a ČD ticket vending machine free of charge. If you enter your In-karta card number when purchasing your ticket through the eShop, then all you need to do to retrieve your ticket is to insert your chip In-karta card in the card reader at the ticket office or ticket vending machine. If you entered the number of a piece of personal identification or of a provisional paper In-karta card as your identification number, it will also be necessary to provide the transaction code (located on the bottom right of the ticket above the matrix code) in order to retrieve your ticket at the ticket office or from a ticket vending machine.

Yes, but the ticket must be purchased at least 1 day prior to departure.

Who can use a First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket?
A First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket purchased through the ČD eShop is non-transferable and linked to the name of a specific passenger. Thus, only the person whose name and identification card number are specified on a First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket purchased through the ČD eShop can use it for travel. During a ticket inspection on the train, the passenger must establish his or her identity by presenting an identification card bearing the same name and number as those specified on the ticket. When purchasing a First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket for multiple persons through the eShop, it is necessary to enter the name and identification card number of each passenger separately. !!!

Can I print out a First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket right from the internet?
Yes. After placing a ticket in your shopping cart and paying for it, you will receive the travel document in PDF format, which you can print out on your own printer and board the train with this document (alternately, you can display it on a portable electronic device – e.g. on the screen of your laptop – during an inspection on the train). Will I automatically receive my money back for an unretrieved First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket?
No. After paying for it through the eShop, you will immediately receive your First Minute Czech (Včasná jízdenka Česko) ticket in PDF format (it is also sent to your email address). You must then print out the ticket, or show it to the conductor on the screen of a portable electronic device (e.g. on your laptop) during an inspection. You can also retrieve your ticket at a ČD ticket counter, but this will now be subject to a CZK 50 fee. Retrieval from a ČD ticket vending machine at the station will continue to be free of charge. When returning a ticket, the standard terms and conditions apply for exercising your right under the transport contract, as in the case of regular tickets purchased through the ČD eShop.
