Application for indemnification
With this form, you can easily submit a claim for compensation when your train is delayed. Simply fill in the prescribed information, attach the file with the ticket in question (or other documents) and submit the form. Your request will be processed within one month, but receipt of the form does not automatically confirm your claim for compensation. This form does not serve for the standard refund of fares in the event of a missed journey.
Passenger rights in the countries of the European Union are governed by Regulation (EC) No 1371/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on rail passengers' rights and obligations. In accordance with this Regulation, ČD compensates passengers in the event of train delays in international and domestic transport as follows:
- in the event of a train delay of 60 to 119 minutes, compensation is entitled to 25 % of the fare, which is at least EUR 16 in international carriage or CZK 360 in domestic carriage in one direction per person
- if the train is delayed for 120 minutes or more, the compensation shall be 50 % of the fare, which shall be at least EUR 8 in international carriage or CZK 180 in domestic carriage in one direction per person
- special conditions apply to time tickets
- for domestic e-tickets, the minimum compensation amount rule - points (a) and (b) - does not apply
