Terms and conditions of the basic NRT fare

When purchasing an international ticket from ČD, the fare for the Czech segment is charged per the NRT ČD as follows:

• basic fare with a 50% discount off the NRT ČD fare (passengers need not demonstrate eligibility)
• customer fare with a 62.5% discount off the NRT ČD fare (at the time of purchase and ticket inspection, passengers must demonstrate eligibility for the IN 25, IN 50, IN 100, unless stipulated otherwise for a specific offer)
• special fare with various discounts off the NRT ČD fare (e.g. tickets as part of special offers, tickets with a FIP 50 % card discount, etc.), or a route price has been set for the ČD segment
• full NRT ČD fare for tickets issued in transit, e.g. Schöna Gr. – Břeclav Gr.

For an NRT ticket, it is possible to purchase seat reservations separately.

In international transport, certain tickets can be issued to the so-called border point. This is the point on a railway line where the territory of one state ends and that of another begins. It is usually named after the previous railway station on the territory of one of the states and after the name is the abbreviation Gr. (Grenze = border). For example, on the line between Děčín and Dresden, the border point is Schöna Gr.

On higher-quality trains of the EuroCity and InterCity category there is no supplement with an international ticket for using these trains (exceptions: Italy, inland trains in Hungary). If the symbol “R” in a box is listed in the timetable, however, passengers must purchase a seat reservation.

International tickets are also valid with ČD for boarding and disembarking at stations in the entire circuit of the station specified on the ticket. For example, a ticket issued to the station Praha (without specification of a specific station) is valid to Praha hl.n., Praha Masarykovo n., Praha-Radotín, etc.

Note: International tickets are not valid with non-contractual carriers of individual countries. Prior to travel, we recommend obtaining information about the validity of travel documents at an international ticket counter.

Schedule for the basic NRT fare

Ticket prices are set in EUR. The price in CZK may change according to the current exchange rate against the euro.

The price of the basic NRT fare depends on the tariff distance and the selected carriage class. Tariff distance is determined for the actual transport route between railway tariff points (railway stations) according to the kilometres specified in the timetable of the railway operator or the timetable of a contractual bus carrier.
