To Hamburg four times a day, to Berlin every two hours

Direct EuroCity trains run from Prague and Ústí nad Labem to Dresden and Berlin every two hours, and some of them continue on to the northern German city of Hamburg. Once per day, it is possible to travel to Berlin and Hamburg without transferring even from Brno and Pardubice.

Near the Czech-German border, in particular near Cheb, Děčín and Liberec, transport is also provided by many regional passenger trains.

The Federal Republic of Germany lies in central Europe and is our western neighbour. It borders with Denmark to the north, with Poland and the Czech Republic to the east, with Austria and Switzerland to the south, with Belgium and the Netherlands to the west, and it touches the waters of the North and Baltic Seas. The German-Czech Border Regions

In view of its accessibility by rail transport, we can recommend that you visit the cities of Regensburg and Dresden. Regensburg is a venerable city in Bavaria lying on the Danube. Its historic centre has been on the UNESCO list since 2006 and among its most significant cultural monuments are a stone bridge dating from the 12th century and the gothic Regensburg Cathedral dating from the 13th century. Dresden lies in Saxony on the Elbe. The city will please baroque enthusiasts above all – you can visit the Zwinger and Albertinum galleries as well as the Catholic Church of the Royal Court of Saxony (Hofkirche) and the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche).

Berlin

Germany’s capital city, until 1991 divided into eastern and western parts. The city lies on the Spree River. Berlin is a tolerant, multicultural and multiethnic city which is developing continually and dynamically. Many cultural institutions are located here, as well as numerous parks (e.g. a zoo). Berlin is home to many artists. You can visit theatres, operas and cabarets. There are also countless museums and galleries here. Among the most common tourist attractions are the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate, and don’t forget to take a walk along the famous Unter den Linden boulevard.
