Terms and conditions of First Minute Europe (Včasná jízdenka Evropa) tickets to Poland

We offer tickets to selected destinations on long-distance connections (of the carrier PKP IC) as one-way tickets. In case of sales in international ticket offices is possible to buy FME ticket with service fee only.

Tickets for regional trains in Polish border regions can only be purchased for the Harrachov – Wrocław line, including certain intermediate stations (of the carrier Koleje Dolnoslaskie) as one-way tickets.

Tickets can be purchased no earlier than 60 days prior to the departure date. Sales are terminated 3 days (for tickets in 1st carriage class) or 1 day (for tickets in 2nd carriage class) prior to the departure date, or when the allocated contingent of tickets has been sold out. In the case of a return journey from Poland, required reservations on long-distance trains operated by the carrier PKP IC can be purchased in some cases at most 30 days in advance.

We offer tickets for 1st or 2nd carriage class, but in the case of regional trains operated by the carrier Koleje Dolnoslaskie for 2nd carriage class only.

What you need to know

• tickets are issued with an obligatory cross-border train between the Czech Republic and the neighbouring country
• the ticket’s term of validity is 2 days, and the journey must be commenced on the first day of validity
• all long-distance daytime and overnight trains in international transport between the Czech Republic and Poland, as well as most long-distance trains in Poland, are operated as trains with required reservations (seat reservation, couchette or sleeper supplement). Seat reservations on direct connections to/from Poland and return are free of charge; on other connecting trains, there is a charge.
• for First Minute Europe (VJE) tickets, we grant discounts on the territory of the Czech Republic for children under 15 years of age, students under 26 years of age (with student ID or ISIC) and for passengers 65 years of age and older. 
• tickets cannot be returned or exchanged for reasons on the passenger’s side

• by telephone on the ČD Contact Centre telephone line on (+420) 221 111 122 (in the form of a TeleTiket for a fee of CZK 50 as part of a single telephone order)

• Prague – Krakow 2nd class from 361 CZK (from 14 EUR)

Current prices and availability of the First Minute Europe (Včasná jízdenka Evropa) offer for specific routes are available at the moment of purchase (price enquiry) in the e-shop, at a ČD ticket counter equipped to issue international travel documents, or at the ČD Contact Centre on tel. +420 221 111 122.

When purchasing at a ticket counter, a service fee in the amount of CZK 50 is charged for each First Minute (Včasnou jízdenka) ticket.

Prices of international tickets are fixed in EUR and converted into Czech crowns according to the valid Uniform Railway Exchange rate.
