We are also adapting our trains for hearing-impaired passengers. We install visual information systems, and you can easily get up-to-date information right on your mobile phone.

Information at stations

Information about train departures and arrivals is available in visual form as notice boards at all stations and stops. At modernized stations and some stops, visual information boards are also available, providing up-to-date information on any train delays, platforms, and tracks. These information elements are operated by the Railway Administration (Správa železniční dopravní cesty, s.o.), whose employees manage traffic on the tracks. In addition, we provide information about closures and, where applicable, extraordinary events at stations and stops in the form of notice boards (or via visual information systems), with a description of measures, the location of replacement transport stops, and, if applicable, a closure timetable. On the notice boards, you will also find information on the train formation of ČD long-distance trains.

Easy orientation at the station

For easier orientation, we are gradually adding orientation maps to stations, marking all passenger areas, platforms with their approaches, and connecting transport stops around the station.

Information on the train and on the journey

All our new and modernized trains are equipped with interior information displays, which provide up-to-date information about the train's journey and the next station. In visual form, we will also alert you to a request stop where it is necessary to press a button to stop the train; after pressing the button, you will also receive visual confirmation of the train stopping. Every vehicle of ours is also marked on the outside with the destination station, direction of travel, and train number or line number, so you can safely find your train on the platform. The vehicle marking is provided either by a visual information system or a paper notice.

Information at hand even on the go

For train travel, we recommend the My Train (Můj vlak) mobile application, which you can install for free on your Android or iOS mobile phone. The mobile application allows you to search for train connections, even without an internet connection, enables ticket purchases, and provides complete information about services at stations and station accessibility for persons with disabilities. But the most important are the up-to-date train information, where you immediately get information about the current location of the train, any delays, and the next station including the platform and track number where the train will arrive. The application can also warn you in time before getting off the train or transferring to another train. Naturally, there is complete information about lockouts or extraordinary events and related current measures. The My Train application can provide all necessary information even on trains that are not equipped with a visual information system.
