Terms and conditions of the Route discount to Budapest

Between Prague and Budapest and Brno and Budapest, we offer special prices for return tickets under route discounts provided by ČD and Hungarian Railways (MÁV).

in 1st and 2nd class, you will receive a 40% discount on a return ticket for an adult
children pay half the discounted fare for adults
in addition, passengers with an In Karta/RailPlus card can obtain a discount for the inland segment in the Czech Republic
the boarding station for the OUTBOUND journey must be the same as the disembarking station for the RETURN journey
the ticket is valid for 1 month

FAQs

Is the route discount to Budapest valid only on selected trains?

No. In contrast to the First Minute Hungary (Včasná jízdenka Maďarsko) offer, tickets with a route discount are valid on all trains. When using the overnight connection, it is necessary to purchase a seat reservation.
