From Ostrava to Warsaw Seven Times a Day

There are three direct EuroCity trains daily from Prague to Warsaw, and even seven direct trains a day from the Ostrava region. Warsaw can also be reached three times a day from Břeclav and Přerov.

Night Connections

For trips from Prague, Pardubice, Břeclav, Ostrava, and other cities to Warsaw or Krakow, you can also use some night trains or direct cars.

Cross-border Connection

Cross-border connections are ensured by local trains between Harrachov and Szklarska Poręba, Lichkov and Miedzylesie, to Glucholazy, between Bohumín and Chalupki, between Český Těšín and Polish Cieszyn.

In Poland, all PKP IC long-distance trains (categories EC, EIC, Ex, D/TLK) require a seat reservation (must be purchased in advance), even for passengers with an international travel document. Departure times from Polish stations may vary slightly, especially when purchasing tickets more than a month in advance. For the First Minute Europe offer, you can only buy a one-way ticket THERE or simultaneously THERE and BACK; one-way tickets starting in Poland are not available. NRT tickets (regular, non-discounted tickets) can only be purchased at ČD international counters and from contract partners.

Krakow (Kraków)

The most famous historical city in Poland, located in the south of the country. The capital of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship is rich in valuable historical monuments from many epochs, and its old town was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. You can visit the Wawel Cathedral, the Royal Castle, or the synagogues in the former Jewish quarter of Kazimierz. Nearby is the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Warsaw (Warszawa)

The capital of Poland, center of the Mazovian Voivodeship. The old town from the 13th century, destroyed during World War II, was meticulously restored and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The city's most prominent feature and the tallest building is the Palace of Culture from 1955.

Wrocław (Vratislav)

The historical capital of Silesia, founded by the Czech prince Vratislav, lies on the Oder River and is distinguished by Gothic, Baroque, and Art Nouveau buildings. The heart of the old town is the spacious market square (Rynek), one of the largest medieval squares in Europe. The Oder River, branching into arms and around numerous islands, is spanned by more than a hundred bridges.

Malbork

One of the largest medieval castles in Europe, located in the north of Poland, is the largest brick building in Europe and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Masurian Lakes

The region with more than a thousand lakes in northeastern Poland is sought after by those who crave tranquility and untouched nature. It offers something for fishermen, cyclists, hikers, and boating enthusiasts. The main gateway to the area is the city of Olsztyn.

Białowieża National Park

Located on the border between Poland and Belarus, it's allegedly the last true primeval forest in Europe, untouched by human activity for several centuries. The forest has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The symbol of the national park is the European bison, which you can see roaming freely with a bit of luck. You can reach the railway station in Hajnówka by train, and from there, you can take a bus to the village of Białowieża.
