Terms and conditions of the Ticket for Summer

With the Ticket for Summer (Jízdenka na léto), one passenger can travel for 7 or 14 days in 2nd class on all categories of ČD trains. The ticket can only be purchased for periods from 1 July through 31 August, and are sale starting 15 June.

The Ticket for Summer (Jízdenka na léto) is non-transferable, and can only be used for travel by the person whose name is printed on the ticket. During a ticket inspection, it is always necessary to present photographic identification bearing the name and surname specified on the ticket. The Discounted Summer Ticket for In Karta holders with a valid customer application (IN 25, IN 50 or Time supplement up to 1st class) or ITIC card holders is also non-transferable and only a person who presents a document (In Kartu or ITIC card) can travel on it ), whose number or holder's name is shown on the ticket. Juniors from 15 to 18 years old, students up to 26 years old, seniors from 65 years old and disabled III. degrees are additionally proven by the relevant discount card. Children under the age of 15 are not required to show any ID.

Other terms and conditions

The term of validity for tickets with a first date of validity on 19-30 August is gradually shortened so that the last day of validity is always 31 August; the price of the ticket is not reduced. It is not possible to purchase a ticket with the first day of validity on 31 August.
It is necessary to purchase a reservation for required-reservation trains.
When using the Summer Ticket at a reduced price, it is always necessary to show the conductor an In Card with a valid customer application (IN 25, IN 50 or Time supplement to 1st class), an ITIC card, or the relevant discount.
It is possible to purchase a one-off upgrade to 1st class for a Ticket for Summer (Jízdenka na léto) in the amount of the difference between the 1st and 2nd class fare for which the passenger demonstrates eligibility for the segment in which he or she actually uses 1st class.

This means that on 15 June you can purchase a Ticket for Summer in advance with validity no earlier than from 1 July.

Can I travel in 1st class on a Ticket for Summer (Jízdenka na léto)?

The Ticket for Summer (Jízdenka na léto) is valid in 2nd class on all of our trains. However, you can purchase a one-off upgrade to 1st class for the segment where you will travel in 1st class. You can purchase this upgrade in advance at the ticket counter or from the conductor on the train. You can also use a time upgrade to 1st class.
