Can I use a Super-Special-Offer Ticket (SuperAkční jízdenka) on a different train?
You can, but when using any train other than the required one (even for part of the route, i.e. interrupting a journey), you will always pay the differential price of a Special-Offer Ticket (Akční jízdenka) not linked to a specific train (or the differential price of a regular ticket, if no Special-Offer Ticket not linked to a specific train is available) for the entire route specified on the ticket presented. This upgrade can be purchased at the ticket counter or on the train (after boarding at a station with an open ticket counter, there is a handling surcharge of CZK 40).
Who can use a Special-Offer Ticket (Akční jízdenka)?
A Special-Offer Ticket purchased at the ticket counter is not linked to the passenger’s name and can be used by anyone.
A Special-Offer Ticket purchased in the ČD e-shop is non-transferable, and is linked to the name of a specific passenger. Thus, only the person whose name is specified on a Special-Offer Ticket purchased in the ČD e-shop can use it for travel. During a ticket inspection on the train, the passenger must present a valid identification card issued by a state administrative authority, ČD or another carrier, bearing the same name as the name specified on the ticket. When purchasing multiple Special-Offer Tickets in the ČD e-shop for multiple passengers travelling together, the tickets can be merged into a single document upon which the name of only one of the passengers is specified. In such a case, the document can be presented to the conductor for inspection on the train only by the passenger whose name is specified on the ticket.
Can I purchase a Special-Offer Ticket (Akční jízdenka) at any station?
No. You can purchase a Special-Offer Ticket at ticket counters only at specified stations. An exception is the Special-Offer Ticket Prague – Ostrava region / Zlín and Brno, which can be purchased at any ČD ticket counter. You can also purchase a Special-Offer Ticket in the ČD e-shop, using the TeleTiket service on tel. 221 111 122, or from a conductor on the train (when boarding at a station with an open ČD ticket counter, however, you must also pay a handling surcharge for ticketing on the train).
Can I purchase a Special-Offer Ticket (Akční jízdenka) from a conductor on the train?
Yes. It is also possible to purchase a Special-Offer Ticket from a conductor on the train. When boarding at a station with an open ČD ticket counter, however, you will also have to pay a handling surcharge for ticketing on the train.
Yes, special prices for Special-Offer Tickets have been set for holders of the IN 50 application on an In Karta card.
We do not recommend under any circumstances this division of the fare, as Special-Offer Tickets are intended only for ticketing on announced routes. By dividing the fare in the manner you suggest, you are voluntarily concluding two transport contracts with all the consequences that this entails under transport law. For example, if you purchase two tickets, Prague – Brno (Special-Offer Ticket) + a connecting ticket Brno – Slavkov u Brna, and in Brno you miss your last connection due to a 30-minute delay of the Prague – Brno train, you will not have a claim to any compensation or substitute transport by taxi (the first transport contract, Prague – Brno, was fulfilled without a claim to compensation, and fulfilment of the second transport contract, Brno – Slavkov u Brna, has not yet commenced, so you can only return the ticket with a service charge. However, if in this case you had a ticket for Prague – Slavkov u Brna, you would have missed the last connecting train under a still-unfulfilled transport contract, and therefore you would have a claim to transport to your destination station by taxi.
Can I purchase a Special-Offer Ticket (Akční jízdenka) from Brno to Prague?
Yes, announced Special-Offer Tickets can be purchased in both directions. Thus, in Brno you can purchase a Special-Offer Ticket from Brno to Prague. Moreover, in Brno you can purchase a Special-Offer Ticket for the return journey from Brno to Prague. The same rule applies to all announced Special-Offer tickets.
Do I need to have some kind of discount card to purchase Special-Offer Tickets (Akční jízdenka)?
No, you can purchase Special-Offer Tickets for the basic price even without any discount card. If you purchase a Special-Offer Ticket at a discounted price (e.g. for a pensioner), however, it is necessary during a ticket inspection to present a discount card entitling the holder to use the relevant discount off the basic price of the Special-Offer Ticket (e.g. an In Karta card without discount applications).
What is a Super-Special-Offer Ticket (SuperAkční jízdenka)?
A Super-Special-Offer Ticket is a ticket linked to a specific train in a particular direction. A Super-Special-Offer Ticket can only be purchased in the ČD e-shop, on the ČD mobile website, in the Můj vlak (“My Train”) mobile application, or by telephone using the TeleTiket service. It cannot be purchased in the ticket office.
