Connection search
Our trains enabling comfortable travel for passengers in wheelchairs are marked in the timetables with special symbols:
-
low-floor carriage suitable for the transport of passengers in wheelchairs, or a carriage with a lifting platform; ordering transport is recommended
-
carriage suitable for the transport of passengers in wheelchairs; ordering transport is mandatory
When traveling by train in a wheelchair, you can easily search for a connection on the website www.cd.cz/spojeni-a-jizdenka/, where you enter the requested service "For passengers in wheelchairs". The search engine will then find only Czech Railways connections with carriages adapted for passengers in wheelchairs. It is also possible to set a longer time required for transfer in the connection parameters. We also allow passengers in wheelchairs to travel on other trains in service carriages or service compartments, but these usually do not meet transport standards and the passenger in a wheelchair is transported here only with their explicit consent.
For more information, you can use the Czech Railways Central Customer Service on the phone line 221 111 122, which will also help you find a suitable connection.
Ordering transport for passengers in wheelchairs
Are you planning a train journey in a wheelchair? We are happy to transport passengers in wheelchairs on our trains. For the smooth course of your journey, including all transfers, please order the journey arrangement or assistance at least 24 hours in advance. If you are traveling abroad or it is exceptionally necessary to include a carriage with a lifting platform in the train, please order the journey at least 36 hours in advance.
The request for transport provision (assistance) to or from abroad is automatically activated by using a foreign railway station in the connection search engine. Such an order must be placed at least 36 hours before the train's departure. If submitted later, the service cannot be arranged and guaranteed with foreign partners.
Within international transport, it is also possible to request the provision of a travel document by checking the request in the order form, or you can purchase international travel documents at any international ticket counter or in the e-shop or in the My Train (Můj vlak) mobile application.
If requesting the purchase of travel documents, the order deadline is extended to 5 working days. In the form, in addition to other mandatory data, it is always necessary to enter an email address or phone number for the order confirmation. You select the connection in the search engine directly on our website.
In case of a positively processed request, you will receive transport instructions. Before the transport, report to the designated workplace at least 30 minutes before the train's departure, otherwise you risk the possibility of being refused transport.
If for any reason you cancel an already reported and confirmed transport, please immediately inform our ČD Central Customer Service by phone at 221 111 122 or tell us at any ticket counter, or send an e-mail to: bookingtool@cd.cz, always stating the transport number.
Assistance means providing help to passengers with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility and orientation when boarding and alighting from the vehicle, escorting to the train, help with purchasing a travel document, etc., according to the possibilities of the employees at the given station. This form is therefore not intended for ordering other services for passengers, e.g., providing luggage porter services, babysitting, etc.
At the stations Praha hl.n., Brno hl.n., and Plzeň hl.n., you can borrow a so-called "pink wheelchair". This aid was lent to ČD by the "Žijeme tady" (We live here) association as part of a joint project aimed at improving the accessibility of our stations for passengers with temporary or permanent musculoskeletal disabilities. Please indicate any wheelchair order in the notes of the transport order.
Go to journey or assistance order
If you are traveling on a train of another carrier, you must order the journey on their train directly with the given carrier. You will not find trains of other carriers in our connection search engine.
If you will be combining multiple different carriers during your journey, order the journey with a wheelchair or assistance at the station via the One Ticket Assistance booking system.
