Terms and conditions of the Special Fare for Pupils and Students 18 to 25

Pupils and students 18 to 25 years of age demonstrate their eligibility for a 50 % discount from Flexi Ticket, Flexi Reduced Ticket (Flexi zvýhodněná jízdenka), Ticket with an Obligatory Train (Vázaná jízdenka) or Commuter Tickets for 2nd class with a valid student identification card or valid ISIC card.

Student discount card

A form for a student identification card can be purchased at the ticket counter for CZK 5. On this form:

• the student (legal representative) must fill in: the student’s given name, surname and date of birth
• on the front side, the school must fill in: an indication of the duration of the school or academic year; on the reverse side: the name and place of the school, stamp of the school and a signature
• the carrier will fill in on the front side: a hologram on the student identification card, station stamp and a signature

The student discount card can be issued to students of primary and secondary schools with validation until 30 September of the next school year. For college students it can valid until the end of the current academic year (until 31 October). However, at the latest by the day before the 26th birthday.

We will confirm the filled-in student discount card at the ticket counter for CZK 50 upon presentation of a piece of personal identification issued by a state administrative body and a photograph with straight or rounded corners measuring 35 x 45 mm which depicts the student’s actual current appearance and is not cut out from a different picture.

Student discount card on an In Karta card

A valid student discount card can be recorded free of charge at the ticket counter onto an In Karta card issued after 1 June 2015 (new type of In Karta card with an 18-digit card number). This will enable you to present only your In Karta card containing the recorded student discount card during an inspection of tickets on the train.

Price schedule for the Special Fare for Pupils and Students 18 to 25

The price of the special fare for pupils and students 18 to 25 depends on the tariff distance and the selected carriage class. Tariff distance is determined for the actual transport route between railway stations according to the kilometres specified in the timetable of the railway operator or the timetable of a contractual bus carrier, and ranges from at least 1 km to at most 600 km.
