What is the Flexi Ticket?

Basic one-way tickets at the regular fare according to the distance travelled for anyone not taking advantage of our attractive offers or discounts.

Where and how to purchase a ticket?

The basic Flexi ticket offers

Valid for one journey on any ČD train
The basic Flexi ticket can be purchased at any time, for both 2nd and 1st class
Its price is fixed and depends only on the distance traveled
The journey must be started on the first day of validity, but when purchased in the e-shop, not before the time stated on the ticket
With a Flexi ticket, you can get off the train and complete the journey on any train until midnight the following day
Discounts with the In Karta apply to the Flexi ticket
Can be purchased up to half a year before travel

When you buy a ticket in the ČD e-shop or the My Train application, you get a free seat reservation for ČD long-distance trains, with the exception of trains and compartments with mandatory seat reservations.

The ticket cannot be used for intra-regional journeys by passenger trains (Os) and fast trains (Sp) in the Zlín, Pilsen, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian regions.

Pricelist of basic Flexi tickets (full fare)

The price of a Flexi ticket depends on the tariff distance and the chosen class of carriage. The tariff distance is determined for the actual transport route between railway tariff points (railway stations) according to the kilometers stated in the timetable of the railway operator and is at least 1 kilometer and a maximum of 600 kilometers.

When using 1st class only on part of the route or in several different sections, separate surcharges to 1st class are added to the price of the 2nd class basic Flexi ticket for the entire route for all sections in which you use 1st class. The surcharge for each section is calculated as the difference in price between the basic Flexi ticket (full fare 1st and 2nd class) for the distance for which you use 1st class.

FAQs

Is a one-way ticket at the regular fare linked to a specific train or connection?

No. You can use a one-way ticket at the regular fare at any time during its term of validity aboard any ČD train on the route specified on the ticket. You must always start your journey on the first day of the ticket’s term of validity. If you miss your planned train, for example, you can use the same ticket on the next ČD train.

How long is a regular one-way ticket valid?

One-way tickets for distances up to 50 km are valid until 6:00 a.m. on the day following the first day of validity. One-way tickets for distances of 51 km or more are valid until 24:00 (midnight) on the day following the first day of validity. In either case, however, you must always start your journey on the first day of the ticket’s term of validity.

Does the state regulate the price of the regular fare?

Yes. The price of the full fare is regulated by an assessment of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic.
