What can it be used for?

A gift voucher can be used to pay for an inland or international ticket, a reservation (seat, couchette, sleeper) or an application on an In Karta card. 

Voucher value

You can purchase vouchers in the following amounts: CZK 100, 200, 500 or 1,000. And when purchasing tickets you can even use multiple vouchers together.

Using your voucher

Vouchers are valid for 12 months and you can use them to pay for purchases at ticket counters or in the ČD e-shop only; they cannot be used for purchases made on the train. When using a voucher at the ticket counter, first inform the cashier that you will be paying with a voucher and provide (or dictate) the voucher’s 12-character code. When using a voucher in the ČD e-shop, in the last step of your purchase enter the voucher’s 12-character code into the “Use a discount code, voucher, or loyalty points” field. It is possible to use multiple vouchers at the same time for a single purchase (the values are added together). If the nominal value of the voucher(s) used is greater than the price of the travel documents purchased, then a new voucher will be issued in the amount of the overpayment. The new voucher’s term of validity is derived from that of the voucher used for payment with the longest term of validity. If the value of the voucher(s) is less, then you will pay the difference in cash in CZK if paying at the ticket counter, or by payment card or from a ČD Credit account if paying in the ČD e-shop.

Other terms and conditions

A gift voucher cannot be returned or exchanged for money. If the tickets are returned or if you exercise your right under the contract of carriage (claim a refund) for travel documents purchased with vouchers, then we will not pay out funds in cash; instead, we will issue you a new voucher. When exercising your right under the contract of carriage at the ticket counter, the cashier will merely take the ticket that you wish to return and forward it for processing to our central accounting facility, which will subsequently issue you a new voucher in the amount of the granted refund. In the ČD e-shop, you will receive a new voucher by e-mail together with a modified tax receipt.
